Digital TV Modulator Passed Test and Appraisal

May 30, 2002 --- Today, two kinds of digital TV modulator developed by BBEF and TEEG passed appraisal presided over by Beijing Municipal Commission for Science & Technology.
Cooperating with TEEG and through more than one year's hard work, BBEF successfully developed the digital TV modulator up to DVB-T standard and the digital TV modulator up to ATSC standard in March 2002. These two kinds of modulator passed test China National Inspection Center of Radio and TV Products in April 2002.
The meeting was held in BBEF. Mr. Yang Jie acted as the Chairman of the Appraisal Committee. The Committee includes famous experts from The Central Radio & TV Transmitting Tower, Academy of Broadcasting Science, No 3 Research Institute of Ministry of Information Industry, etc.
At the meeting, members of the Appraisal Committee checked all data of the two modulators including Technology Report by BBEF, Test Report by China National Inspection Center of Radio and TV Products, and Searching Report by Literature and Information Center of The Chinese Academy of Science. Then all participants observed the modulators. After detailed discussion, the Committee passed Appraisal.
