As the result of mechanism reform of former Beijing Broadcast Equipment Factory, Beijing BBEF Electronics Group Co., Ltd. registered on December 28, 2000.

   From its foundation, 1950, BBEF specialized in the development and manufacturing of TV transmitting equipment, FM radio transmitting equipment, MW and SW radio transmitting equipment, wireless communication equipment, microwave transmission equipment, radar displaying equipment, cable TV equipment, as well as audio & video equipment. In its history, BBEF has undertaken the research and manufacturing duty of equipment applied in many important national projects and acquired a great deal of achievement: 9 State Awards of Science and Technology Progress, 22 other state award, 55 Awards of Science and Technology Progress in Ministry or Province level. BBEF has 5 new products were affirmed as the State new products.

   In recent years, BBEF researched the hi-tech product aimed at digital, networking, solid-state direction. In 1996, BBEF took on the transmitter sub-project on the “HDTV prototype system” through tender and developed China’s first HDTV transmitter in 1998. And then in 1999, we developed 3 kinds high-power HDTV transmitters for 50^th anniversary of PRC. It is the first one developed 1kW solid-state PA module and 3/5/10kW all-solid-state TV transmitter. And BBEF is developing some new products such as the digital set-top box, 8Mb digital microwave etc.

   There are 1492 manufacturing and developing instruments in BBEF including electric instrument, component parameter test instrument, frequency parameter test instrument, signal generator, wave parameter testing instrument, transporting line parameter measuring instrument, whole set microwave measuring instrument and electromagnetic field measuring instrument. About one quarter of these instruments are imported and include the most advanced digital instruments such as MPEG2 measuring decoder, MPEG2 generator, DVB-T test transmitter, DVB-T test receiver, ATSC decoder, digital modulator etc.

  BBEF has 1108 manufacturing equipment mainly used in making components and cabinet as machinery processing equipment and shingling equipment. Handwork is the main assembly measure on single product. Assemble line with the capability of 400 box-set-top per day and a semi-automatic P board product line specialize in the batch manufacturing.

   BBEF establishes Intranet connecting 229 server, workstation and PC. BBEF is an exemplar application unit of national 863/CIMS project and BBEF-CIMS project accept by national 863 CIMS office in November 2000. Through the actualization of CIMS, computerization is achieved in fields such as design, planning, purchase, inventory management and sales, information is shared. With CIMS group cuts down the period of new product development, accelerates capital turnover and improves work efficiency.

   BBEF Electronics Group has integrated quality system and authorized with ISO9001 Quality System in September 1999.
